Tag

TAG is a multiplayer desktop game where 2-4 players chase each other around the map. If you're not the chaser when the timer runs out, you win.
One clean tag changes everything. The chaser becomes the runner, the runner becomes "it" and everyone scatters to avoid getting tagged next.
Play TAG for free at Poki and jump straight into quick, chaotic rounds built for shared screens.
How to play TAG
In TAG, one player starts as "it", marked by an arrow above their head.
Their goal is to tag another player before time runs out. The moment you tag another player, roles switch instantly and the chase flips direction.
The timer keeps running and when it reaches zero, whoever is "it" loses the round.
That makes the final moments fast, with players dodging and chasing one last tag before time runs out.
Controls for 2-4 players
While TAG can be played as a 2 Player Games, it allows up to four players on the same keyboard, so the controls are very simple:
- Player 1: W, A, D
- Player 2: Left, right, up arrow keys
- Player 3: J, I, L
- Player 4: F, T, H
Time
You can adjust the length of each round in the settings, depending on whether you want shorter rounds or longer chases.
The round lengths available are:
- 60 seconds
- 120 seconds
- 180 seconds
TAG maps and shortcuts
There are 3 maps in TAG to play on:
- Standard grassy map
- Wintery Christmas map
- Sandy Egypt map
Each map is built from open areas filled with raised platforms, letting players jump and dodge to escape the player who is "it".
Some areas in the maps are packed tightly with platforms, where players have to turn quickly or jump to avoid getting tagged.
TAG's maps have two special shortcut items as well:
- Bounce pads: These launch players into the air to escape or cut across the map
- Teleporters: These glowing orbs can suddenly drop someone right in front of you or help you escape just before the chaser reaches you.
Tips to avoid being tagged
- Keep moving: Standing still makes you an easy target when someone is already closing the gap.
- Watch other players: Keep an eye on where everyone is moving so you don't run straight into the chaser.
- Change direction suddenly: Sharp turns and quick jumps force the chaser to react instead of knowing where you're going next.
- Use the map: Bounce pads and teleporters are often the reason you escape or get tagged in the next few seconds.

Tag 2 keeps the same role-switching chase gameplay, with new maps that change how players escape and corner each other.
